Range for small arms is greatly increased, but it's very inaccurate at long range (obviously). It adds regions in the empty parts in North America, between Russia and Persia, another region in Arabia, and also in the Indonesian trading theatre, in addition to some new factions like Rajpootana, the Cree, Don Voisko and other Indian/Middle Eastern/Native American factions (I don't know how historically accurate they are, but it adds a little more diversity to the East/West). The tech tree is a little wonky, but still makes sense. Rebellions are much easier to have, from my limited experience, which frankly, I like.
